Lake Keilambete

The almost perfectly round lake is up to eleven metres deep and occupies a maar crater over one and a half kilometres in diameter. The water which is high in mineral content is said to have powerful healing qualities due to the concentration of salt and trace elements.

From 1923 until 1956 the Noorat Swimming Club used the northern shore of the lake where they constructed bathing boxes and a diving board.
